We practice a "non-toxic" printmaking approach. This movement has been paramount to the creation of a healthier environment in which to work. Non-toxic processes still use a variety of chemicals, but greener printmaking is about exploring safer and non-toxic alternatives to traditional printmaking practices. We feel strongly about providing a vital, healthier workshop where newer technologies are available as an alternative in testing, exploring and being all round more conscious of working in a greener, safer environment.

Galway Print StudioThe space is organised by sections to meet the Studio´s needs separately. Our working method relies on the division between an ink free area and a printmaking space.

We provide all the facilities required for relief printing, intaglio and screen-printing. Our Studio is open to collaborate with professionals to provide educational workshops for members and the general public. We also offer a service to professional artists who wish to use our facilities to produce print editions. We provide a digital printing service for members, artists and the general public under the supervision of a trained technician. Digital equipment is also available for rent by members and general public.

In exchange the artist receives a unique box set of 20 works from other participants and there work is also included in a traveling exhibition that raises publicity for the artist and the print studio it comes from. 20:20 is an exciting opportunity for artists to forge new connections with other printers in an informal and practical way.
