Pauline Kinahan Kane was born in the Midlands, Ireland. She studied Fine Art in Limerick School of Art & Design 1976-1981. After a brief spell of teaching in Athy, Co. Kildare she moved to New York. She worked in the renowned Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City for several years. There she studied Lithography, Etching and mostly Engraving. She also studied Colour Viscosity Printing under master printer Krishna Reddy while in NY.

She received a Jerome Foundation Scholarship in 1882. A portfolio "16 Artists" was produced at the end of the year and exhibited extensively in USA.

Pauline remained in New York for 24 years got married and had 3 children. She is currently back living in Ireland and ready, excited and anxious to start printing again.

Her work has been exhibited extensively in the USA and has also been a part of several group shows in both the USA and Ireland.
